As You Saw we had an Emergency in My MR's Family. His Stepmom called us Wednesday morning as we were packing for a trip to my cousins Grad that his father was in the hospital and they did not know why yet. So we made a few calls and left.
Diagnosis was: a Tumour in the Heart
So the waiting Game begins as Dr's Talk and Tests are run.
Now the fun part of this was Kids in a Cardiac ward. Yes they were Great. You know Girls with their Grandpa they want to hug them and kiss them and play. Well that don't work there.
MR's Dad with his grand girls. in the Middle picture is His lovely Wife Jane.
Here we are travelling to the Hospital
We spent Lots of time in the truck going to and from the hospital. Sadly staying there the whole time was not possible do to Nap Times, Rest Periods and Restless Little Girls. So we...
This is MR. and Air looking out a window while a nurse takes Blood
Found a Lake were the wind was blowing Wild and the Air was so fresh. It was Nice to get out and be away from the stuffy Truck and the Cramped Hospital room.
We stopped in at a nearby town and played in a park in the rain. It was fun They had a outdoor work out gym at the park. (Me in middle picture looks like the equipment is made for taller people)
The girls were easier to manage for thats night visit. It was nice and calm at the hospital.
There were lots of naps in the truck
A tough decision was made and the girls left us. On Sunday we met a friend who came and took them to my Grandmothers who would take care of them until we got home. We knew that keeping them away from Grandpa was hard and with the surgery coming up we knew it would be worse after with the incision. It was hard to watch them go. But we knew deep down it was the best for them and MR's Dad.
The move to the other hospital took place the next day and we knew the surgery would be soon.
This is a view from our favourite parking spot at that hospital it was nice place to go and sit when we needed some air
On Wednesday the Surgery took place at about 3 in the afternoon. We sat in a cozy Waiting Room with Jane and MR's Aunt, and at 7ish we got to see him. Sadly we did not get to talk to him till the next day when he called us to tell us he was up and moving to the next stage. The Tumour was a bit larger then a PingPong Ball. He is going Home today, only six Days after open heart surgery
